The Lok Sabha elections are going to be interesting in UP. On one hand BJP is trying with all its might to get maximum seats in this election and on the other hand the opposition is also in its preparation. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who is bringing together all the parties rallying against the Modi government, is likely to contest from UP.

According to JDU state convenor Satyendra Patel, the state unit of the party has appealed to Nitish Kumar to contest the Lok Sabha elections from UP. He said that along with Ambedkar Nagar and Phulpur, names of some other seats have also been suggested for him to contest.

Patel told that if JDU gets some seats in the alliance, then the party is ready to contest the elections. In view of this, work has been started to strengthen the organization of the party in the state. Organization from district to booth is being restructured. Soon the state office bearers will meet the party’s national president Nitish Kumar and inform about the preparations for the elections. Along with this, he will also be invited to contest elections from UP again.

Such possibilities are being expressed that apart from SP, Congress, Lok Dal, there may be an alliance of some parties against BJP in UP. The BSP has made it clear that it will neither be a part of the BJP alliance nor the alliance formed against the BJP.
