Voting will be held on Monday for 13 seats in the fourth phase in UP. In this phase, a total of 130 candidates including Akhilesh Yadav are in the fray from Kannauj. Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa has instructed all the district election officers that if there is a minor difference between the voter list and the voter’s identity card, then they should ignore it and take the decision. Provided that the voter is the same person.
Navdeep Rinwa gave detailed information about the arrangements to be made on May 13 in a press conference on Sunday evening. He said that there are a total of 2 crore 47 lakh 47 thousand 27 voters in the fourth phase, out of which 1 crore 31 lakh 82 thousand 341 are male, 1 crore 15 lakh 63 thousand 739 are female and 947 are of third gender. There are 3 lakh 73 thousand 751 voters in Dadraul Assembly by-election, which includes 2 lakh 263 male voters, 1 lakh 73 thousand 436 female voters and 52 third gender voters.
Rinwa said that there are 16 female and 114 male candidates on the Lok Sabha seats of the fourth phase. Apart from the voter photo identity card, 12 other identity cards will be valid. Any complaint related to voting can be lodged by calling 1800-180-1950 at the state level and 1950 toll-free number at the district level.
This phase includes Shahjahanpur reserved, Kheri, Dhaurahara, Sitapur, Hardoi reserved, Misrikh reserved, Unnao, Farrukhabad, Etawah reserved, Kannauj, Kanpur, Akbarpur, Bahraich reserved Lok Sabha seats and Dadraul assembly by-election. In the fourth phase, maximum 15 candidates are in Kannauj and least 7 candidates are in Etawah safe area.
CEO Rinwa said that arrangements for air ambulance and helicopter have also been made for emergency situations on the day of voting. The location of the helicopter will be in Kanpur and the location of the air ambulance will be in Lucknow.
