In Nashik, there was a robbery on January 18 in Ghoti police station area on the Mumbai-Agra highway. Car-borne miscreants had looted jewelery worth Rs 4 crore from the parcel van of a courier company. The incident was carried out by miscreants of Agra. After getting the clue, Nashik Police contacted Agra Police. The houses of former soldiers Zaheer Khan, Satyendra Singh and Shiv Singh were raided in Kheragarh. Zaheer and Shiv Singh of Kheragarh were arrested. Jewelery worth Rs 1.40 crore and two cars were seized from them.

According to DCP Western Zone Sonam Kumar, investigation revealed that the robbery was committed by seven miscreants. Four former soldiers including Zaheer Khan and Satendra were involved. Six teams of Nashik Police have come to Agra to arrest them. Two teams took Zaheer and Shiv Singh along, while the remaining teams are conducting raids to arrest other accused.

The company had sunk the money by investing it in real estate

Accused Zaheer Khan told during interrogation that he had invested money in a company in Maharashtra. The company had invested the amount in one of its real estate projects. The amount was lost. Meanwhile, he met Devendra of Jagner. Devendra has information about vans carrying gold and silver jewelery in couriers from Mumbai to Nashik, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Planned a robbery. He also included Hub Singh of Rohta with himself. He wanted to get his money back by selling the jewellery.

The goods were brought in the businessman’s car

According to the police, Shiv Singh of Kheragarh, who was involved in the robbery, has a fruit business. He takes grapes to Nashik. Therefore there was information about the routes. The miscreants had used Shiv Singh’s car. In exchange for the car, he had demanded his share of the looted money. After the robbery, the goods were brought in the businessman’s car. Devendra of Jagner had gone to jail four years ago. Police said that Devendra had looted 7.5 kg of gold jewelery in Rajkot, Gujarat in the year 2019. Gujarat Police had sent him to jail.
