The Audi car of Ankur Srivastava, an officer posted in the Construction Corporation, was not stolen. It was Ankur who made it disappear along with his friend. He wanted to get a claim from the insurance company by showing that the car was stolen. On Tuesday, the police arrested him and recovered the vehicle. The search for his fellow Delhi resident garage owner is going on.

Ankur Srivastava of Vikramnagar, Para is a Grade-2 officer in the Construction Corporation located in Vibhutikhand. On April 30, he informed the police that his Audi car parked outside his office was stolen at 4 pm. The police registered a case of theft and investigated and found that the time given for theft of the car was wrong. In the CCTV camera, a young man was seen comfortably taking away his Audi car.

After this, the police checked around 150 CCTV cameras and took the help of surveillance and came to know about Ankur’s friend Hitesh, a Delhi resident motor workshop owner. Hitesh was seen taking the car from Ankur’s office. When the police gathered information about Hitesh, they came to know that Ankur’s car had an accident in 2019. It was Hitesh who had repaired his car.

On Tuesday, police caught Ankur with an Audi from Para area. He was going to Delhi by car. Police have registered a case against Ankur and Hitesh. During interrogation, Ankur told that he had lodged a false FIR of car theft.

That’s why a conspiracy was hatched

Inspector Vibhutikhand Sunil Kumar Singh told that Ankur used to work in jewelery before working in Nirman Nigam. In the year 2017 he had bought an Audi car. In the year 2019, his car met with an accident near Hazratganj Bhaisakund. Then he got the car repaired by Hitesh. After this, some problem or the other started appearing in the car every day. Ankur thought of selling the car, but due to it being an accident, no one was offering more than Rs 10 to 15 lakh, whereas the current price of the car was Rs 40 lakh. When Ankur talked to Hitesh on this, he advised him to get the claim by filing a false FIR of car theft.
