A meeting of the Executive Council was held in Lucknow University on Tuesday. In this meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, matters related to co-operation were resolved. In the Executive Council, recognition was given to nine new self-financed colleges opened in Lucknow, Raebareli and Sitapur.

Spokesperson Prof. Durgesh Shrivastava said that in the meeting of the working council, studies in nine new self-financed colleges in the affiliated districts of Raebareli, Sitapur and Lucknow have been approved. Among the newly recognized colleges, there are five law colleges and four colleges with general courses. Among the colleges approved as law colleges, a three-year law course has been approved in Techno College of Law, Lucknow. Whereas, a five-year law course has been approved in IMRT Law College, Lucknow, a three-year law course and a five-year law course have been approved in Charak College of Law, Lucknow.

Vedanta Law College Lucknow has three-year course in Law and five-year course in Law, Central Law College Lucknow has three-year course in Law and five-year course in Law, Vasudev Law College Amari Village Indiranagar has three-year course in Law. Similarly, among those who have got recognition in general courses, Rajaram Chetna Degree College of Raebareli has been given recognition for BA and BSc, Acharya Ramchandra Mahavidyalaya of Sitapur has been given recognition for BSc Agriculture and UBS Group of Institutes of Lucknow has been given recognition for BA course.

Permanent affiliation to 52 courses in 59 colleges

In the meeting of the working council, permanent affiliation has been given to 52 courses in 59 colleges in all the affiliated districts. The courses which have been approved include eight colleges for BA, 10 for BSc, one for BCom, one for BSc Agriculture, one for BBA and two for BCA. At the level of postgraduate courses, there are 20 colleges for MA, 11 for MSc, three for MSc Agriculture and two for MCom.
