The statue is being liked so much that they have received orders for making a similar statue for the next year.
Ankit Vishwakarma told that he and his 5 brothers together make Durga idols and their idols are installed in different parts of the country. This year he has made special statues to save the environment. In Sagar’s Ravi Shankar ward, he does sculpture work under the name of Vishwakarma Art. This year, about 27 statues have been made by him, one of which will be installed in Champa district of Chhattisgarh. This is the same statue, which was created in the form of a child after looking at the face of the niece.
This statue was prepared in 10 days
Ankit Vishwakarma told Local 18 that he has been doing this work for 10 years, but his family has inherited it. It is by the grace of Mata Rani that such good statues are prepared. We had received an order from Chhattisgarh to make a child-like statue. One day when my niece was playing, suddenly the idea came to me that why not prepare a statue after looking at my niece. It took 10 days and then the statue was sent to Chhattisgarh.
6 brothers together make a statue
Ankit further told that he had started making these statues 5 months ago along with his brothers. We take only as many orders as we can. Only 6 brothers make statues together. Do not take help from anyone else. Idols are sent to many states including Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal. At the same time, he has also received state level award thrice for handicraft clay art.
