At the same time, no new death related to this infection was registered. Along with this, it was said in the bulletin of the health department that the total number of corona infected patients in the state has increased to 81,36,992. At the same time, the total death toll is stable at 1,48,420. Only one case was registered in Mumbai. According to the Health Department, the state’s corona recovery rate is 98.17 percent, while the death rate is 1.82 percent.
Screening of passengers coming from abroad
It has been said in the bulletin that after December 24, the Health Department once again started investigating the passengers coming from abroad. He said that 4,45,342 international passengers arrived at the airports of Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur. Of these, RT-PCR test was done for 10,178 passengers. According to the health department, genome sequencing is a laboratory test that reads the entire genetic genome of a virus from a patient sample and detects new variants. Of these 24 RT-PCR positive patients identified so far, 12 are from Maharashtra, out of which 6 are from Mumbai, 3 from Pune, one each from Navi Mumbai, Amravati and Sangli.
Apart from this, 4 coronavirus positive patients were from Gujarat, 2 from Kerala and 1 each from Goa, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Odisha and Telangana. The bulletin states that in the last 24 hours 24 patients corona virus Have recovered from the infection, taking the total number to 79,88,445. With this, 127 active cases have gone out of the state. According to the Health Department, a total of 13,977 new corona tests were done in the state, taking the total number of tests to 8,61,33,166.
