Maharashtra New Governor: Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan will be the new Governor of Maharashtra. Rashtrapati Bhavan has given this information. Radhakrishnan will replace Ramesh Bais, who has been the Governor since February 18, 2023.
Senior BJP leader Santosh Kumar Gangwar has been appointed Governor in Jharkhand in place of CP Radhakrishnan. Rashtrapati Bhavan announced the appointments of governors for several states on Saturday night.
Who is CP Radhakrishnan?
CP Radhakrishnan’s appointment has come at a time when assembly elections are to be held in the state this year. Radhakrishnan was a member of the BJP for a long time. He was twice elected MP from Coimbatore Lok Sabha seat in Tamil Nadu. He has been the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Tamil Nadu.
Radhakrishnan in 1998 and 1999 Lok Sabha Elections He won in 2014. He was also made a candidate by BJP in the 2014 and 2019 elections, although he had to face defeat. He became the Governor of Jharkhand on 18 February 2023.

In a statement issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan, it has been said that all these appointments will be effective from the date they assume charge.
