The most active cases of Corona in the state are in Thane. 190 cases of corona have been registered in Thane, while so far 137 cases have been confirmed in Mumbai and 126 in Pune.
A new task force has also been formed in Maharashtra for the prevention of Corona, which is headed by Dr. Raman Gangakhedkar, former Chief of ICMR. There are seven members in this task force. A sharp increase in corona cases has been seen in Maharashtra since last one week.
841 new cases were registered in the country
On the other hand, maximum cases of JN.1 have been registered in Pune. The number of JN.1 cases here is 15. The first case of this variant came from Kerala. Here a 79-year-old woman was found infected with it. On the other hand, 841 new cases of Corona were reported in the country on Sunday, which is the highest figure in a single day in the last seven months. This information has been given by the Union Health Ministry.
Advisory has been issued by the Center to the states
The speed with which Corona is spreading. However, an advisory has also been issued to the states by the Centre. States have been asked to keep an eye on district-wise cases. Also, regularly collect information about diseases like influenza and respiratory diseases from all health centers. It is being told that Corona cases have also increased due to overcrowding on the occasion of Christmas. There is a possibility of increase in cases on the occasion of New Year because people go to tourist spots from different parts of the country to celebrate the New Year.
