Curd Rice Recipe: Rice is the main part of food in India. Most people like to eat rice. People eat a lot of dal rice, rajma rice, kadhi rice etc. There are some people who do not feel satisfied if they do not get rice to eat. Rice is used in making many types of dishes. Ingredients to make Curd Rice (Curd Rice Ingredients)
Curd โ 2 cups
Rice- 2 cups
Onion- 1 big chopped
Milk- one cup
Carrots โ 2 finely chopped
Potatoes โ 2 chopped
Beans โ a small bowl
Ghee- 3-4 spoons
Curry leaves- 5 to 6
salt as per taste
Cinnamon- 1 piece
Cloves- 3
Small cardamom โ two
Chirouji-1 spoon
Red dry chilli-2
Chopped cashews โ 5-6
Raisins-6-7
Almonds โ chopped 5-6
Recipe to make curd rice (How to make curd rice)
First of all, wash and clean the rice thoroughly. Put some ghee in a pan. Fry dry fruits like almonds, cashews, raisins in it. Clean all the vegetables like potatoes, beans, carrots and boil them lightly. When it boils, drain the water. Cook the rice half as per your convenience by adding water. Drain the remaining water and let it cool. Now add ghee in the pan and fry the onion. Let it become light golden. Now add dry fruits into it. Add all the remaining spices like cinnamon, cloves, chironji or mustard seeds, whole red chillies, curry leaves, cardamom. Fry for a few seconds then add potatoes, beans and carrots.
If you want, you can also add peas in it. Now add salt and mix well. Cook on low flame for 1 minute. Switch off the gas stove. Now place the second pan on the gas. Add ghee in it and add some rice. Then put a layer of curd on it. Now add roasted vegetables and dry fruits. Do the same process once again and add milk also. If you want, you can also whip the curd. Place a lid on the pan and seal it with flour from all sides. Cook it on low flame for 15 to 20 minutes so that the rice gets cooked properly. The recipe of delicious curd rice i.e. curd rice is ready.
