Ingredients for making Gobi Musallam
Medium sized whole cauliflower – 1
Finely chopped onion- 2
Tomato Puree- 3
Ginger-garlic paste- 1 tablespoon
Beaten curd – 1/2 cup
Make cashew paste – 8-10
Kasoori Methi- 1 tsp
Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Cumin- 1 tsp
Oil or Ghee – 2 tbsp
Salt- as per taste
Fresh cream for garnish – 2 tbsp
Green Coriander – 1 tablespoon
Water – to boil cabbage
How to make Gobi Musallam
To make Cauliflower Musallam, first boil water in a big vessel. Then add turmeric and salt in it. Put whole cauliflower in boiling water and boil it lightly for 5-7 minutes. After this, take out the cabbage from water and cool it. On the other hand, heat oil or ghee in a pan. Now add cumin seeds and let it splutter. Then add ginger-garlic paste to it and fry. Now add chopped onions and fry until golden. After this add tomato puree and add spices (turmeric, coriander powder, red chili powder). Fry this mixture until the oil separates.
Now add cashew paste and curd and cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes. Then add garam masala and kasoori methi and mix well. If the gravy seems thick, you can correct it by adding some water to it. After this, take out the prepared gravy in a deep vessel. Also, place the boiled cauliflower on top of the gravy. Pour gravy over the cauliflower so that it is completely covered. Now cover the vessel and cook on low flame for 10-12 minutes. When it is cooked, take it out. Now garnish the recipe with fresh cream and green coriander. Now you can serve Gobi Musallam with hot naan, paratha, or jeera rice. If you want, you can also use butter to make the gravy tasty.
