Ingredients for making Thalipeeth
Wheat flour – 1/4 cup
Rice flour – 1/4 cup
Jowar flour – 1 cup
Millet flour – 1/4 cup
Gram flour – 1/4 cup
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
Onion finely chopped – 1
Green chili chopped – 2
Green coriander leaves – 2-3 tbsp
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Ajwain – 1/4 tsp
Sesame – 2 tsp
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
oil – as required
salt – as per taste

Thalipeeth Recipe
To make Thalipeeth, first of all add jowar flour, wheat flour, millet flour, rice flour and gram flour in a big mixing bowl and mix them all well. Now add ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, turmeric, coriander powder, carom seeds to the flour and mix. After this add finely chopped onions, green chillies, green coriander and salt as per taste and mix it well in the flour.
Now add water little by little to the flour and knead a soft dough.

Now take a butter paper and grease it with oil. After this, take a ball of dough and keep it in butter paper and press it with your hand and start expanding it. If you want, you can also use a wet cloth for this in the traditional way. Make the thalipeeth as thin as possible by pressing it with your hands. After expanding the thalipeeth by hand, make some holes in it.

Now heat a nonstick pan on medium heat. When the griddle is hot, pour some oil and spread it around it. After this, gently spread the thalipeeth covered in butter paper on the griddle. After roasting for a while, turn the thalipeeth and apply oil on the other side. Roast the thalipeeth by pressing it slowly till it becomes golden and crispy from both the sides.
