Ingredients to make Suji Besan Tikki
Semolina – 1 cup
Gram flour – 1 cup
Onion – 1
Tomato – 1
Carrot – 1
Curry leaves – 8-10
Green coriander chopped – 1/4 cup
Green chili chopped – 1 tsp
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp
Rai – 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
oil – as required
salt – as per taste

How to make Suji Besan Tikki
To make flavourful Besan Tikki, first cut finely pieces of onion, tomato, carrot. Now mix gram flour and needle in a big bowl. Now prepare the batter adding water little by little. After this add turmeric, red chili powder to the batter and mix. After this add finely chopped onions, tomatoes and carrots to the batter and mix well.

Now take a pan and put one spoon of oil in it and heat it. After the oil becomes hot, add curry leaves and mustard seeds to it and crackle. After some time add a pinch of asafoetida and green chillies and fry. After this, put the prepared batter of semolina-gram flour in a pan and cook. Cook the batter on medium heat till it becomes thick. When the mixture starts leaving the pan, turn off the gas and let it cool.

Now grease your hands with oil and take little by little the prepared mixture to make tikkis and keep them aside in a plate. After this, take a nonstick griddle and heat it on medium heat. After the griddle is hot, spread some oil on it and keep four-five tikkis for baking. After roasting the tikki for some time, turn it over and pour some oil around it. Fry the tikkis till they become crispy and golden from both the sides. After that take it out in a plate. Similarly prepare all the potato tikkis. Serve them with green chutney or tomato sauce.
