EGGLESS OMELETTE

Material
½ teaspoon oil
1 spoon butter
1 medium sized chopped onion (If you do not eat onion during Navratri then you can skip it.)
2 chopped green chillies
½ grated ginger
1 medium sized chopped tomato
coriander leaves chopped
¼ cup cheese

for batter
1 bread slice (sides cut)
1 cup gram flour
⅓ cup flour
salt to taste
¼ teaspoon sugar
1 pinch turmeric (optional, it will give light yellow color like egg)
1 cup milk
½-¾ cup water
1/2 to 1 teaspoon baking soda
1-2 melted butter

How to make eggless omelette

– First of all, cut the edges of the white bread and cut 2 bread slices and put them in a bowl. Add gram flour, flour, salt as per taste and some sugar in it.
– You should also add a pinch of turmeric to this batter, which will give the egg a yellow colour. Whereas bread and flour will give this batter the flexibility of omelette.
– Now mix this dry batter with a spoon. Now add milk in it first and then add water. Now add about one spoon of baking soda in it.
– Do not keep this batter thick like cheela but keep it thin. It should be so thin that it should spread as soon as it is put in the pen. That means there should be pouring consistency.
– Now mix this batter well with a whisker. Now add melted butter in it. Your batter is ready, keep it at rest for at least 15 minutes before making omelette.

You can make this recipe with bread.

– Now you put a pen on the gas. Add some butter in this pan and now add chopped onion, green chilli and tomato in the pan and sauté them lightly. Fry it for just 30 seconds and put your veg omelette batter on top of it. Now put cheese on this batter and cook it.
– This is not an egg, so do not cook it half, rather cook it completely.
– Just like you add bread to omelette, you can also make bread omelette by placing bread slices on top of this batter.

So in this way, you can enjoy eating omelette even without eating eggs during Navratri. You can also give this recipe to children in tiffin.
