Ingredients to make Til Gur Revdi
White Sesame – 2 cups
Jaggery – 2 cups
Desi ghee – 3 tbsp
Kewra essence – 2 drops
Baking soda – 1 pinch

Method to make Til Gur Revdi
To make Sesame and Jaggery Revdi, first clean the white sesame seeds. After this put sesame seeds in a pan and roast it on low flame. Roast the sesame seeds till they turn light pink. Keep in mind that while roasting the sesame, stir continuously so that the sesame does not burn. After roasting, take out the sesame seeds in a utensil and keep them aside. Now put desi ghee in the pan and heat it. After melting the ghee, put the crushed jaggery in the pan and cook while stirring.

Jaggery has to be cooked until it melts completely and becomes thick. It is necessary to make a strong syrup of jaggery for Revdi. It is necessary to cook such jaggery till it becomes a hard syrup. Now put a pinch of baking soda in the jaggery syrup and add white sesame seeds while stirring continuously. Sesame seeds should mix well with sugar syrup.
