In a News 18 conference, Manoj spoke openly on his short temper and said, “Yes, I am short tempered because of the kind of background I grew up in, I was the eldest son. As the eldest son with 5-6 siblings, it makes you quite a father figure. Even if the elder son is 12 years old, he has to bear the burden of responsibilities. Whether he is made to realize those responsibilities or not. He can observe and has the maturity to achieve that self realization. So anger used to be a very strong emotion of mine. It has come down a lot in the last few years.”
What did Manoj say on playing a negative role at the beginning of his career?
Manoj also spoke openly about playing a negative role in the beginning of his career and said that it was purely accidental. He said, “When I went to Mumbai, I did not go there to be a villain. I wanted a good and respectable role in that project in which I can show my work. I did theater in Delhi earlier for 10 years and when you come to Mumbai and you start knocking on the doors of makers and directors, no one asks you what you have done or for how long you have done theatre.
