An innocent child, his sister, grandmother and aunt died when an uncontrolled Eeco van collided with a culvert at Karewadi turn on Gohana Road in Sonipat. Seven people including family members and the driver were injured in the accident. The injured have been admitted to the Women’s Medical College Hospital. Police has started the investigation of the matter. The family members were returning after visiting Seekh Pathri Mata.

Santra (55), a resident of Shahbad Dairy, Delhi, with her daughters Pooja and Kavita (38), sons-in-law Satte and Ashok, Satte’s son Jigyansh (three months), daughter Vani (16), Deepika (12) and Ashok’s daughter, who live in the neighbourhood. Dishu along with her son Prince and neighbor girl Gauri had gone to Gurugram in an eco car to visit Mata Sheetala. Driver Dharambir was driving the Eeco van. He went to Gurugram on Sunday evening.
After having darshan of Mata, the family members went to Seek Pathri Mata located in Panipat. After having darshan from there, he left for Delhi at around six in the morning. He was coming towards Sonipat via Gohana area.
It is being told that in the car, Santra was sitting near the driver with her grandson Jigyansh in her lap. Vani was sitting between the driver and him. Kavita was sitting on the seat behind the driver. When he reached village Karewadi turn, driver Dharambir suddenly lost control of the car. Due to this the Eeco van collided with a stone on the roadside culvert. Jigyansh, Deepika, Santra and Kavita died on the spot in the accident. Pooja, Vani, Ashok, her daughter Dishu and son Prince, neighbor girl Gauri and driver Dharambir were injured.
Mohana police station reached after the information and admitted the injured to Khanpur Medical College Hospital. The bodies have been kept in the civil hospital for post-mortem. The police is investigating the matter
