More than 24 students were injured when lightning struck a school in Ara, Bihar. After this incident, there was a stir in the entire school. The incident took place in Barkagaon Plus Two School of Tarari. After the incident, the injured students were admitted to Tarari CHC. Many students have been referred in critical condition.
It started raining as soon as the holiday started
Regarding the incident, the local people say that on Thursday evening, when the school was closing at around 4 pm in the Plus-2 school located in Barka village of Tarari police station area, suddenly there was a loud thunder in the sky and suddenly lightning fell in the school campus. Before the school girls could understand anything, one by one about two dozen students got hit by the lightning, due to which all of them got injured. As soon as the information of lightning falling was received, there was a stir among the family members of the injured students and the teachers teaching in the school. Hearing the sound of lightning falling with a loud thunder, the local people also reached there and immediately brought all the injured students to Tarari CHC for treatment. But due to the lack of doctors and nurses in the hospital, there was an atmosphere of chaos there.
Ara Sadar Hospital on alert mode
After this, the family admitted several seriously injured students to Ara Sadar Hospital. On receiving the information of the incident, District Education Officer Mohammad Ahsan also reached Tarari PSCHC along with the officials and enquired about the condition of the children. Doctors say that Ara Sadar Hospital has been put on high alert mode. Currently, 7 students are being treated in critical condition at Ara Sadar Hospital. Regarding the incident, doctors say that many students have been treated and sent back home.
