With this, Rani Mukherjee will again be seen in the role of brave police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy. While announcing Mardaani 3 on its Insta account, Yash Raj Films has written in the caption, ‘The wait is over! Rani Mukherjee is back as Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani 3. In theaters in 2026.”
When does the shooting of Mardaani 3 start?
Rani Mukherjee is one of the brilliant actresses of Indian cinema. Not only this, she is also the actress who has the only solo lead blockbuster franchise in her name. Regarding this, Rani Mukherjee said, “I am very happy to announce that we are starting the shooting of ‘Mardaani 3’ from April 2025! Abhiraj Meenawala will direct ‘Mardaani 3’
Let us tell you that in ‘Mardaani 3’, Yash Raj Films is giving the responsibility of taking this franchise forward to two new talents who are involved in writing and direction. ‘The Railway Men’ fame Ayush Gupta has written the script of ‘Mardaani 3’. With ‘The Railway Men’, Ayush made a great debut in the field of streaming and his sharp and deep writing style was appreciated all over the world. The film will be directed by Abhiraj Meenawala, produced by Yash Raj Films.
Abhiraj has previously assisted in films like ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’, ‘Gunday’, ‘Sultan’, ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ and ‘Tiger 3’. Currently he is the associate director of ‘War 2’ and now he has been assisted in ‘ The command of ‘Mardaani’ franchise has been handed over.
