When the demand for dowry was not met, the in-laws gave inhuman torture to the married woman. The married woman’s brother has filed a complaint in the women’s police station regarding the incident.
A person resident of Navipur Khurd of Kotwali Sadar area had married his daughter two years ago with a young man resident of Gonda Road, Nivari Mor, Rorawar police station area of Aligarh. Ten lakh rupees were spent on the marriage, out of which two lakh rupees were given in cash, a car and household items. The in-laws were not happy with the dowry and started beating the married woman. Father-in-law and brother-in-law started misbehaving with wrong intentions.
When the married woman protested, her in-laws tied her with a rope and beat her. He was killed by stuffing a cloth in his mouth with the intention of killing him. After two months of marriage, demanded one lakh rupees and more boxes. The parents also gave Rs 50 thousand and money for the box. The married woman stayed in her maternal home for a year. After that she gave birth to a child. After this the married woman’s health deteriorated. Spent one lakh rupees in the treatment of the child. The child also died after six months.
It is alleged that after beating her, the husband pronounced triple talaq and left the married woman at her maternal home. On the complaint, the police got the married woman examined at Bagla District Hospital. In this regard, CO City Rampravesh Rai says that the matter is being investigated on the basis of the complaint.
