A person was shot dead by a miscreant in Dwarka South area on Thursday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Babbu (55). He was shot in the head. Police have registered a case of murder. Police suspect that the shooting took place due to enmity. Police is busy identifying the accused.

Babbu lived alone in a slum located in Dwarka Sector 1. He used to work as a mason. The police officer said that at around 2:15 pm on Thursday, the police received information that a person was shot in Sector 1 Dwarka. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot. The man was bleeding from the back of his head. The police immediately took him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The police started investigating the case by sending the body for post-mortem. Police called crime and forensic team to the spot. The team collected evidence from there.
During interrogation of the people nearby, it was revealed that the deceased Babbu was originally a resident of Mahua in Chitrakoot. His wife had died four years ago. Since then he was living alone in the slum. He left for work on Thursday afternoon. Meanwhile, some unknown person shot him in the head from behind. After investigation, police officials say that in the initial investigation there is a possibility of murder due to enmity. Police are investigating the case by interrogating his family members and acquaintances. Also, efforts are being made to identify the accused with the help of CCTV cameras installed nearby.
