Ingredients to make Matar Tikki
Green peas – 2 cups
Potato – 3-4
Bread crumbs – 1/2 cup
Ginger chopped – 1 tsp
Green chili chopped – 1
Black pepper powder – 1/4 tsp
Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp
Green coriander – 2-3 tbsp
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
oil – as required
salt – as per taste

How to make Matar Tikki
To make Matar Tikki, first take peas and peel them. After this, put water in a vessel and heat it and boil it by adding peas. After this, take out the peas from the water and keep them in a bowl. Now boil the potatoes and after that peel off the potatoes and put them in a mixing bowl and mash them well. After this, mash the peas as well and put it in the potatoes and mix both of them well and prepare the mixture.

Now add bread crumbs and salt as per taste to this mixture and mix well. Then put finely chopped green chillies, ginger and all the spices in the mixture and mix it properly. Finally add coriander leaves and lemon juice. The masala for matar ki tikki is ready. Now take a little bit of the masala in hand and first make a ball out of it. After that give them the shape of Tikki and keep them in a plate. Similarly make all the matar tikkis.

Take a nonstick pan/tawa and heat it on medium heat. When the tawa becomes hot, pour 1 tsp oil on it and spread it all around. After this, place matar tikkis on it and roast them according to the capacity of the griddle. After roasting for some time, flip the tikki and roast it from the other side. In the same way, roast the tikki until its color turns golden from both the sides and the tikki becomes crispy. After this, take out the Matar Tikki in a plate. Similarly bake all the matar tikkis. Now serve hot Matar Tikki with tomato sauce or green chutney.
