Darul Uloom Faranimahali on SIT Report: The stir has increased after the report submitted by the SIT investigating illegal madrassas recommended the closure of about 13 thousand madrassas. Darul Uloom Farangi Mahal spokesperson Maulana Sufiyan Nizami has given his reaction regarding this. He has termed the funding of madrassas from Gulf countries as wrong.
Releasing a video, Maulana Sufiyan Nizami said, “Madrassas Islamia are making efforts on a large scale to remove the plight of this country. As far as the source of income of these madrassas is concerned, it is Awaam-e-Chanda. It happens. The Muslim who is rich gives his charity money here. We have played an important role in removing poverty.”
‘This thing should apply to everyone, not just for one religion’
Maulana Sufiyan Nizami further said that now we are facing allegations that these madrassas are being funded by Gulf countries, so this is not true. If this is the criterion that no one’s funding should come from Gulf countries, then this should apply to other places also. Be it ashrams or schools of any religion. Such ashrams which take public donations or their followers send donations from other countries should also be investigated. It should be made clear to everyone that taking donations from other countries will not be allowed. If this happens, we welcome it, but it would not be right to defame just one section under this law.
Once again an attempt is being made to defame Madrassas in the name of investigating them.
