Mayawati BSP Left 10 Leaders 8 Years In Up Politics Not Alliance 2024 Abpp

BSP supremo Mayawati has announced to go alone in the 2024 fight on her 67th birthday. After this decision of Mayawati, the Congress engaged in the exercise of alliance is shocked. Party leaders are quietly calling it a pact with the BJP.

Political analysts are also surprised by this decision of Mayawati, who reached 0 to 10 seats in alliance with SP in 2019. After 2007, the graph of Mayawati’s party is continuously falling. In such a situation, questions are being raised on why Mayawati has adopted the strategy of contesting elections alone.

Neither Senapati, nor mass base… 10 big leaders left the party in 8 years
In the last 8 years, leaders like Ram Achal Rajbhar, Lalji Verma, Brajesh Pathak, Indrajit Saroj, Mithai Lal Bharti, Swami Prasad Maurya, Dara Singh Chauhan, Brijlal Khabri, Naseemuddin Siddiqui and Dharam Singh Saini have left the party. When the BSP government was formed in 2007, all of them were among Mayawati’s Navratnas.

After 2014, all of them left the party one by one. After 2007, there has been a huge decrease in the support base of Mayawati. In 2007, the vote percentage of BSP was more than 30 percent, which has reached close to 12 percent in 2022.

(All figures are of the assembly elections)

In such a situation, on what basis is Mayawati preparing to contest elections on her own?

1. Core voters still with- After 1993, the BSP is going through its worst phase. There has been a reshuffle in the party organization thrice in the last three years. Despite this, the core voters of BSP are with him. The Jatav community in UP is considered to be the core voters of BSP, whose population is about 12 percent.

Even though Mayawati’s party won only 1 seat in the 2022 elections, still the core voters remained with them. In such a situation, Mayawati wants to run alone in the elections of 2024 and 2027 on the basis of her core voters.

2. Brother-nephew was also fielded- Regarding 2024, Mayawati has divided the entire UP into 7 sectors and has appointed in-charges at all places. Seeing the lack of leaders in the party, Mayawati has fielded brother Anand Kumar and nephew Akash Kumar.

Mayawati has made brother Anand the national vice-president of BSP and nephew Akash as the national coordinator. Together with all the sector in-charges, both are working for the mission BSP.

3. Preference to side line Muslim leaders- Guddu Jamali, Imran Masood and Shaista Parveen. This is the name, which has once been the face of Muslim politics in UP, but since 2019 is running on the sidelines. Mayawati has linked all the three leaders to the party in the past.

Apart from Muslim leaders, Mayawati is also eyeing the Pal voters of UP. Recently, Mayawati had handed over the responsibility of state president to Vishwanath Pal. There are about 2 percent Pal voters in UP, who are considered very influential in Brij and Rohilkhand.

Allegations of compromise with BJP, 3 points…
The opposition is calling the strategy behind Mayawati’s Ekala Chalo a pact with the BJP. This is not the first time that Mayawati is being accused of favoring the BJP. There are 3 big reasons for this…

1. Not clearing the confusion of Dalit voters- A statement of Mayawati came after the crushing defeat in the 2022 elections. In this, he said that the RSS people created confusion among the Dalit voters. In fact, Mayawati’s party did not field strongly in the entire election.

Mayawati herself participated in the rally at very few places. In such a situation, Mayawati failed to convey the message to the Dalit voters of BSP that her party is strongly contesting the elections against the BJP. Due to this, Dalit voters in western UP overwhelmingly voted in favor of BJP.

2. Attackers on Congress more than BJP- Mayawati attacks the Congress more than the BJP on the issue of reservation and Dalits. Whether it is a press conference or Twitter, Mayawati often targets the Congress high command. Even when the Congress made Dalit Charanjit Singh Channi the CM in Punjab, Mayawati called it a sham.

3. No street protests against the BJP government- The BSP has been in the opposition for the last 10 years, but the party has not yet demonstrated against the government on public issues. When BJP gets surrounded on big issues, Mayawati keeps silence. However, Mayawati always shies away from these matters by saying that she is working under the mission of BSP.

Or some other reason?
Does BJP benefit from Mayawati’s ‘Ekla Chalo’ policy? Senior journalist Anil Chamadia calls it a conspiracy. They say- all parties have the right to contest elections in politics. BSP was formed to raise the voice of Dalits. During this, Mayawati ji also did many experiments in BSP.

According to Anil Chamadia, the anti-Bahujan forces first created caste division among Dalits and now they confuse their voters.

Due to Mayawati contesting elections alone, the BSP kept getting weaker, what is the reason for this? In response to this question, Chamadia says – Fulfilling the purpose is more important than winning the election. BSP is raising Dalit issues in the form of a symbol, that is enough.

What will be the effect of Mayawati’s strategy?
In response to this question, SP MLA Ram Achal Rajbhar says, ‘Mayawati ji fought alone in 2022. The result is in front. For 2024 also consider the same as the base. BSP will be defeated in Ambedkar Nagar also. Rajbhar comes from Ambedkar Nagar district, where Ritesh Pandey of BSP is currently the MP.

Rajbhar further says, ‘The whole country is watching who is fighting against the BJP in UP. Here the SP alliance is raising the issue of the people. BSP is not serious about contesting elections. We have seen this in the last election.
