Regarding the uproar in the MCD House on Friday, Presiding Officer Satya Sharma has prepared a draft to submit the report to the Lieutenant Governor. Declaring himself innocent in the uproar in the House, he has mentioned the whole matter point by point. She will also send the video footage of the entire proceedings of the House to the Lieutenant Governor to confirm her point. A CD has been sought from the corporation secretary in this regard. However, the Lieutenant Governor has not yet sought a report from him. There is a possibility that after sending the report on behalf of the commissioner, the governor may ask for the report from the presiding officer as well.

According to sources, Presiding Officer Satya Sharma has written in the draft of the report that he had initiated proceedings on behalf of the Corporation Secretary under the agenda fixed for the first meeting of the House. The first proposal in the agenda was regarding administering oath to newly elected members and nominated members. Accordingly, the process of administering the oath was started. As soon as nominated member Vinod Kumar was called to take oath, some members started creating ruckus. Even after this, he continued the process of administering the oath and three other members were also administered the oath. Meanwhile, the members came to his seat and snatched the affidavit from the hand of the member taking the oath and tore it. Apart from this, the file was snatched from the hands of the corporation secretary.

Therefore, there was a hindrance in the work of administering the oath to the members. During this, he urged the members making ruckus several times to sit on the seats, but they did not listen to him. Because of this, he adjourned the meeting for some time. Even after this the members continued to create ruckus. The members did not calm down even at the time of starting the meeting for the second time and once again adjourned the meeting. The uproar continued even during the commencement of the meeting for the third and last time.

Recommendation of action against the members who created ruckus
Presiding Officer Satya Sharma will also recommend action against the members who created ruckus in the House. In this case, she will demand suspension of the members who created ruckus from the house. Will also urge the members who vandalized MCD property during the ruckus to compensate for the loss and also demand legal action against these members as well as those who tore papers related to the meeting.

Suggestions will be given to run the meeting of the house smoothly
The presiding officer Satya Sharma has also made preparations to give several suggestions for smooth running of the meeting to be held in future especially for swearing in the members and election of Mayor and Deputy Mayor. In this case, she will demand that arrangements be made to stop the members till the seat of the presiding officer. Will request to suspend the members who create ruckus in the meeting and arrange to send them out of the meeting.

You were shocked by the nomination of councilors: BJP
New Delhi. State BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor said that the Aam Aadmi Party is scoring a suicide goal due to the nomination of councillors. It would have been better if instead of questioning the political background of the people appointed as Alderman, AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj would have remembered the political background of the councilors nominated in the 2017-22 Corporation House.

‘LG gave preference to BJP instead of experienced’
In the MCD case, the Aam Aadmi Party has once again targeted the Lieutenant Governor. AAP spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj alleged that the Lt Governor had illegally nominated BJP workers as corporators instead of experts with MCD experience, whereas the DMC Act has a provision to nominate only those with MCD experience as corporators. In fact, the Lieutenant Governor made a master plan to make BJP councilors presidents and members of the standing committees in the ward committees, ignoring the Delhi government.

In the party office on Sunday, Saurabh Bhardwaj put him in the dock citing objections on behalf of the Lieutenant Governor to some names in the Animal Welfare Board. He said that on the one hand the Lieutenant Governor talked about some names not having much to do with animal welfare.
