According to the information given along with Mirror website and Chris’s video, this island was made an Army and Navy base during the Second World War. McDonald’s was established here in 1986. But when the security forces were removed from here in the 1990s, McDonald’s also ended its business from here.

According to the Mirror website, at that time a Big Mac was available for 1.93 pounds (Rs 202), but today the same Big Mac is available for Rs 512. At that time, chicken nuggets were available for up to Rs 73. Happy meals used to cost up to Rs 105.
