If we eat beef for 100 grams of protein, 49.89 kg of carbon dioxide will be emitted, while hybrid rice will emit only 6.27 kg. Researchers said that we usually get the necessary proteins from animals, but a lot of resources and water are consumed in preparing the animals. These emit a lot of greenhouse gas.
