ADG Traffic K. Satyanarayan reviewed the preparations for the traffic system in view of the Kanwar Yatra starting on July 22 at the Police Line. During this, he said that the Delhi-Meerut Expressway will not be closed.

By stopping the entry of Kanwariyas on the expressway, they will be taken out from Ganganahar Chaudhary Charan Singh Kanwar Track Road. The Kanwar Yatra will be monitored from the government level. In such a situation, everyone should do their duty with diligence. Instructions were given after taking information about the preparations from the officials of Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar and Uttarakhand who attended the meeting.

The ADG also reviewed the route diversion for heavy vehicles plying between Delhi-Meerut. He said that from July 22, the route will be diverted by the police for heavy vehicles and passenger buses. Information about this will be given to the media soon.

During the Kanwar Yatra, detailed information was taken about the traffic plan issued on NH-58. A large number of Kanwariyas will be taken out from Ganganahar Chaudhary Charan Singh Kanwar Track route. For this, policemen in plain clothes will be put on duty. This will reduce the distance to Delhi for the Kanwariyas and the number of Kanwariyas on AH-58 will also be less.
