‘Menstruation Is Not A Curse, It Is A Boon Of Nature’: Adani Foundation Sensitises Women And Girls

On the occasion of World Monthly Cleanliness Fortnight, women and girls were made aware of menstruation. Adani Foundation organized various programs on the topic of menstrual hygiene in slums under Fortune Suposhan Project. Under which “Break the silence on menstruation, speak openly” through rally in Konia, Muslimpura, Khatikana, Lallapura, Nawabganj Badi Gaibi, Jivdhipur, etc. slums. and “Menstruation is not a curse, it is a boon of nature.” Adolescent girls and women of the community were informed about the use of pads and their proper disposal.

In collaboration with Adani Foundation and Saathiya Kendra BHU, adolescent girls and women from the community were informed about the misconceptions related to menstruation. The diseases caused by anemia were explained in detail by Akanksha Singh, counseling women of Sathiya Center. Along with this, information about balanced diet of women was provided by Adani Foundation’s nutrition officer Mamta Yadav.

During the program, Assistant Sujata Yadav and Jugal Keshari and Suposhan Sangini Sonalika Singh, Sadhna, Rani, Reshma, Anjum, Sana Parveen, Preeti Maurya, Soni etc were present.
