There is a lot of happiness among the people since the announcement of running metro rail in Darbhanga district. Now the routes of operation of the metro have also been decided. The second good news related to metro for the people of Darbhanga is that today Darbhanga Municipal Corporation has held a special meeting regarding the metro rail route. In this, the route for metro operation has been determined in the presence of Mayor, Deputy Mayor, MP and MLAs. In this special meeting organized by the Municipal Corporation, not only the officials of the company RITES associated with the Darbhanga Metro Rail Project were present, but apart from Darbhanga District Magistrate Rajeev Roshan, Darbhanga MP Gopal Ji Thakur, City MLA Sanjay Saraogi as well as Darbhanga Mayor Anjum Ara and Municipal Commissioner Rakesh Gupta attended the meeting.
Emphasis was again laid on building the metro rail route line.
First of all, the Metro officials displayed the possible route made by them on the monitor and also explained the reason behind it. After this, apart from the public representatives present in the meeting, they also tried to know the intention of the officials present in the meeting. At the same time, all the detailed discussions were held on the possible route of the first phase and an attempt was made to reach a consensus on the route so that the residents of Darbhanga get maximum benefit from it. Keeping this in mind, the line of the metro rail route was once again made afresh. Emphasized.
The work will be started soon after preparing the DPR.
The officials associated with the metro project who attended the meeting also listened closely to everyone’s views. After looking at the possible metro rail route together with everyone, it was decided to map it. In this, all the things which were expressed by many people in today’s meeting will also be taken into consideration. Most people stressed on preparing the metro rail route on the lines of a ring road in the first phase and then expanding it extensively in the second and third phases. But, everyone’s consensus was that the route between Darbhanga airport, bus stand, DMCH hospital, district headquarters at Laheriasarai in Darbhanga, railway station and the new AIIMS being built in Darbhanga via Darbhanga airport should be determined. However, the final approval on this could not be given yet and after the next meeting, the matter of final approval on the metro rail route definitely came to the fore. After this, the DPR of the entire scheme will be prepared and the work will start soon.
