Mi Band 8 To Launch On April 18 Along With Xiaomi 13 Ultra


Mi Band 8: Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be launching the Mi Band 8 fitness tracker on April 18 alongside its flagship device, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The smartphone and fitness tracker will be launched globally on 18 April. The upcoming smartphone is said to get exclusive Leica-branded cameras with Sony sensors. Meanwhile, the Mi Band 8 is expected to get a new design and better functions than the Mi Band 7. When it comes to fitness trackers, there are many affordable smartwatches and fitness bands that come with similar specs to the Mi Band. However, Xiaomi’s fitness tracker has gained the trust of customers.

How will Mi Band 8 be?

According to the image shared on the Xiaomi China website, the Mi Band 8 will sport an AMOLED display with a pill-shaped dial. Instead of a wrap-around band, the strap will attach to the wearable on either side, allowing it to be worn in multiple ways. Xiaomi co-founder and CEO Lei Jun has confirmed on his Weibo account that the Mi Band 8 can also be worn as a necklace. The picture he shared on the social media site actually shows the device hanging like a pendant on a thread.


Some expected features of Mi Band 8

Reports suggest that the Mi Band 8 will come with some basic activity tracking features such as all-day heart rate tracking, sleep tracking and stress monitoring, as well as continuous blood oxygen monitoring and low SpO2 alarm. GPS is expected to be available in the band.
