A report states that Microsoft plans to integrate walkie-talkie functionality in the Teams app for iPhone. You can see this feature in iPhone till the month of May.
According to the report of Business Today, this innovation is going to provide safe voice communication experience to the users. iPhone users will get the facility of walkie-talkie function from the lock screen of their phone itself. This integration is expected to be implemented in May, although developers say that there are some unexpected challenges, due to which its rollout may be slightly delayed.
Apple’s push-to-talk framework will be used
According to the information, Microsoft is going to use Apple’s Push-to-Talk framework for the walkie-talkie feature. It will be accessible on GCC cloud instances for Microsoft Teams on iOS and Android platforms. This edition, identified by ID 388486, was recently highlighted on the Microsoft 365 roadmap. This is a big and important step in increasing the functionality of Teams.
