Mohammad Rafi Dharmendra | A superhit song of Mohammed Rafi and Dharmendra which ruined ‘Kaka’s’ career, know the interesting story

Mohammad Rafi Dharmendra Song: The first actor to get the tag of a superstar in Bollywood was Rajesh Khanna. He gave the industry 15 back to back superhit films and made a big record which no one has been able to break till now. The graph of Rajesh Khanna’s career went down when Dharmendra was rising after giving many hits and Amitabh Bachchan had just entered the industry.

Mohammad Rafi sang songs in Rajesh Khanna’s films but after a time only Kishore Kumar sang for him. Most music directors started working with Kishore Da and Mohammad Rafi’s career started to falter, but a song from a Dharmendra film came that changed the whole game.

Mohammed Rafi became famous again with this song of ‘Loafer’

In the year 1973, the superhit film Loafer was released, whose song ‘Aaj Mausam Bada Beimaan’ was a superhit. This song was filmed on Dharmendra and Mumtaz and this song broke all the records. From that time till today, this song is included in the list of top romantic evergreen songs. This song made a tremendous comeback for Mohammed Rafi, while other music directors also started signing him.

‘Kaka’ is behind Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan

In 1975, the film Sholay was released in which Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra were seen in the lead roles. This became a historical film of Hindi cinema and after this, the careers of Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan reached such heights that the graph of Rajesh Khanna’s career started going down. Vinod Khanna and Rishi Kapoor also came in the same period.

Rajesh Khanna ruled Hindi cinema for almost two decades. Although, later on, many of his films were hits but the graph of his career did not rise like it did in the 70’s. Still, no one has got the stardom like Rajesh Khanna till date and even today Kaka is alive in the hearts of his fans.
