Now Bangladesh’s former Textile and Jute Minister Ghulam Dastagir Gazi has been arrested from Dhaka.

According to the Daily Star newspaper, the police have taken strict action against the officials and ministers of the Awami League government of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The newspaper quoted Paltan Police Station in-charge Mollah Mohammad Khalid Hussain as saying that the 76-year-old leader was detained from a house in Piergoli area of ​​the capital Dhaka at around 3 am on Saturday night.

Former Union Minister arrested in Bangladesh
According to the Dhaka Tribune, Dhaka police detained him and brought him to the Detective Branch (DB) office. Station incharge Khalid Hussain said that Gazi was kept in the DB office as the police station was badly damaged after the recent violence. However, the police officer did not give any details about the case for which he was arrested. Earlier, a murder case was registered against 105 people including Hasina and Gazi at Rupganj police station in Narayanganj.

It is difficult for Sheikh Hasina to return to Bangladesh
In fact, after the formation of the government of Nobel laureate Mohammad Yunus in Bangladesh, one after another cases were registered against Sheikh Hasina. Many cases against Sheikh Hasina are related to murder. It has been alleged that many protesting students have died in police firing on the orders of Sheikh Hasina. Apart from this, the owner of a grocery shop in Dhaka has died in police firing.

In such a situation, it is now feared that it will be very difficult for Sheikh Hasina to return to Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina may be arrested upon reaching Bangladesh and she may be put in jail for a long time.
