It is being told that Shami can return to the series against Bangladesh in September.
Childhood coach gave an update
Mohammed Shami, who is out of the 2023 World Cup, is feeling fit to a great extent right now, but reports are saying that there will be no hurry in his return. The board does not want Shami to be in any danger of getting injured again due to hurry. Shami’s childhood coach Badruddin Siddiqui said – Shami has started bowling, but is not throwing the ball with full run-up and full energy yet. He is able to throw the ball in the nets without any problem.
Can come back in the series against Bangladesh
BCCI secretary Jay Shah had told in March before the start of T20 World Cup 2024 that he has prepared a plan to bring Shami back in September. BCCI recently released the schedule of Team India’s domestic season. Under this, Bangladesh team will tour India in the month of September where it has to play 2 Tests and 3 T20 matches.
Eye on Border-Gavaskar Trophy too
Mohammed Shami is being looked after well and his return will be important from the perspective of this year’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Team India will tour Australia in November where a 5-Test match series will be played between the two teams. A BCCI source has said that Shami’s contribution will be important in the series against Australia.
