Good monsoon expected this year

The southwest monsoon is progressing without any major hindrance so far. Monsoon has reached Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Bihar and conditions remain favorable for its further progress in these states.
Monsoon is expected to reach the remaining parts of Maharashtra and some parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh within the next three to four days. Heavy pre-monsoon rains are also expected in some parts of Uttarakhand and eastern Uttar Pradesh from Monday.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon is moving at a normal pace towards its northern boundary. In the next 5-6 days, the monsoon will cover the entire Uttar Pradesh. The monsoon is expected to reach states like Delhi, Punjab and Haryana by its scheduled time of 27-28 June. Heavy rains are occurring at isolated places in Sikkim, Jharkhand, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.
Himachal: Rain forecast from 26th
Monsoon is forecast to reach Himachal on 28th June. Rain will begin in many areas of the state from 26th June. The weather is likely to remain bad in many areas on Sunday. It is likely to be sunny on 24th and 25th June.
Rain in Lahaul-Spiti, snowfall in Rohtang
The lower areas of the tribal district Lahaul-Spiti also received rain on Saturday. The cold has set in due to snowfall in the high peaks along with Rohtang. There has been no rain in Kullu even on the third day. The farmers’ hopes are being dashed due to the lack of rain despite clouds in the sky.
Heat wave alert in North India right now
Due to cloudy skies, Delhi-NCR got relief from the scorching heat on Saturday, but the plains of North India including western Uttar Pradesh will have to face intense heat for two more days.
According to the IMD, heat wave is likely to continue in different parts of western Uttar Pradesh till June 25. Heat wave may occur in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh-Delhi on June 24 and 25. Relief from deadly heat is expected after that.
