The body of Muzaffarnagar dairy owner Zubair Alam (23) was found lying on the track in the Mundhapande area at 10 pm on Saturday, while his cousin Uvaish Raza is missing. Both brothers had left their home for Moradabad on Saturday morning. Zubair’s car was found parked a short distance from the incident spot.
After the postmortem, the family took the body away. The case is stuck between accident, murder and suicide. The police is investigating the case. The police of Mundhapande police station was informed on Saturday night by the Mundhapande railway station master that the body of a young man was found on the railway track near Sihora Baje railway crossing.
When the police reached the spot, the body was lying on the track, while the Padmavat Express was standing at a short distance. A goods train had passed just before this. The police found the car keys and a broken mobile in the deceased’s pocket. A car was standing abandoned on the highway some distance away.
When the car lock was opened with the key found in the deceased’s pocket, the documents found in it identified him as Zubair Alam. He was a resident of Sarai Tulsiram in Jansath area of Muzaffarnagar. The family has two elder brothers, Bilal and Junaid.
On receiving the information, Zubair’s cousins Abdul Qadir, Samad and other family members reached Mundhapande. They told that Zubair used to run a milk dairy. Apart from this, he also used to buy scrap. On Saturday morning, Zubair had come to Moradabad with his cousin Uvaish Raza to buy scrap.
Family members said that Uvaish is missing. SP City Kumar Ran Vijay Singh said that the case looks like suicide. Zubair’s cousin is being searched for.
