On Saturday, gangster Shakir escaped from Agwanpur police post by dodging the inspector. The inspector was sitting outside the office talking on the phone. After some time they came to know about the gangster’s escape. Then the sub-inspector and police personnel ran and caught the accused on information that he was hiding in the house.
Several criminal cases are registered against the youth resident of Sherua Dharampur. On Saturday, the outpost police had received information that the accused youth was having a liquor party with some youth in a mango orchard. An inspector of the post and police personnel raided the garden and arrested three youths, including the gangster accused, from the spot.
Liquor bottles and other items were recovered from them. The police brought the three youths to the police station. After some time, the police released both his fellow youths by handing them over to their family members while the gangster youth was taken to the police post.
During this time, a call came on the mobile of the inspector sitting outside the office. He became busy on the phone. Taking advantage of this, the young man opened the office gate and ran away. The constable standing in the grounds of the police post saw the accused running away. Then the constable and the inspector ran after him.
The accused hid in a house in Sarai Farukh locality. Here he did not find a way to escape. With this he sat on the roof of the house. The women and children present in the house raised an alarm after seeing the unknown person. Police personnel engaged in search caught him from the spot. Police said that action is being taken against the accused.
