Nominations of five people including MP ST Hasan from Moradabad Lok Sabha seat have been rejected. According to officials, many flaws have been found in everyone’s affidavit and other documents. Those whose nomination papers were rejected include Bharat Yug Party’s Pradeep Yadav, Vedic Samajwadi Party’s Sandeep Trivedi, independent Sartaj Alam and Sheeshpal.
Now 13 candidates are in the fray. The situation will become clearer after the withdrawal of nominations on March 30. Earlier, on the last day of nomination i.e. Wednesday, 12 people including the SP candidate had filed nomination papers. With this the number of nominations has increased to 18. After investigation on Thursday, the nomination papers of five have been rejected.
General Observer of Punjab Cadre came
General observers have arrived to monitor the election activities of Moradabad district. He held a meeting with the district officials and informed them about the priority of the elections. 2000 batch IAS officer Kumar Rahul of Punjab cadre reached Circuit House.
DM Manvendra Singh and ADM Administration Gulab Chandra met the observer. After taking stock of the new observer nominations, he held a meeting with the district officials and discussed about the candidates. Liaisoning Officer Rajeshwar Pratap Singh was present with the observer.
