In fact, on Tuesday, about 1 crore mobile connections have been shut down after identifying the fraud numbers. This decision has been taken by TRAI and DoT to improve telecom services. The ministry has highlighted network availability, call drop rates and packet drop rates. According to the information, so far 1 crore mobile connections have been shut down.
The government took steps
For your information, let us tell you that to stop spam calls, instructions were issued to telecom operators by TRAI. It was said that they should immediately start closing and blacklisting fake connections. Robo calls and pre-recorded calls were also included in this. Let us tell you that in the recent past, about 3.5 lakh numbers have been blocked. In this, 50 entities have been blacklisted. About 3.5 lakh unverified SMS headers and 12 lakh content templates have also been blocked.
Not only this, with the help of Sanchar Saathi, about 2.27 lakh mobile handsets were also blocked. They were found to be involved in cyber fraud and financial fraud. Continuous efforts are being made by the Ministry of Communications to improve the network.
Avoid these things
Now let us tell you that from the security point of view, do not use your personal mobile number for any other purpose. Promotional calls are also included in this. You should also avoid making promotional calls. If you are found doing this, then you can also come under the radar of telecom companies. After this, your number can also be closed or blocked.
