According to a news from ‘The Hindu’, this store started 54 years ago was a milk depot, where fruits and vegetables were also sold. Gradually Amma Nana Store started selling food items. After this, from 1978, this store was filled with various types of cookies, cheese, cereals, chips, drinks, chocolates, noodles and dry fruits. The store has also opened a new branch to meet the demands of its ever-growing clientele in the city. Senthil, a partner and operator of the store, says that we want to give people everything they want from the store. This is the reason why here you will not only get the taste of the newest Oreo biscuits, but also packs of Chai Kadai biscuits for Rs 15.

Recently one of their customers asked about ordering Cheetos Bacon flavor from Australia. Anyway, 50 percent of the customers of Amma Nana store are expatriates. That’s why we always have to stock products from UK and US. In the last 10 years, the store has added many Japanese and Korean items to its products. This includes various brands of seaweed, kimchi, ginger and miso paste. Their range of noodles has tripled in the last four years and now they have more than 100 varieties.
