A mother and son, the operators of a private nursery, were shot dead in the head near Lalpur village on the side of Bada Bypass in Bareilly’s Izzat Nagar police station area on Friday night. It has primarily come to light that the murder was a result of a rivalry over breaking the relationship with the woman’s daughter. SSP, SP City inspected the spot. Police and SOG teams have started searching for the accused.

Only six months ago, Meena Devi (44), resident of Dohra village, and her son Netrapal (20) had started the work of a nursery on the side of the highway. When a villager reached the nursery around 10 pm on Friday night, he saw Netrapal’s body lying on the outside of the room. The body of his mother Meena Devi was lying nearby. Both had wounds on their heads. Blood was coming out. Both of them were shot in the head and killed. On the information of the villager, Ahladpur outpost police reached the spot. After some time, police force from Izzat Nagar police station reached the spot.

Along with IG Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh, SSP Sushil Ghule, SP City Rahul Bhati, CO Third Anita Chauhan, SOG and surveillance team also reached. During investigation, the money earned from the nursery and the woman’s jewelery were also found safe. It became clear that someone had attacked with the intention of murder. Initially, it was suspected that the mother and son were murdered over a land dispute, but during interrogation, the family raised suspicion on other people.
