Mother chose a special name for the child, mother-in-law wanted to change it, the reason created a religious crisis.

While some parents share the name of their unborn child with their nearest and dearest even before his birth, many parents keep it a secret till his birth. But many times disputes arise in the family regarding name. A mother has shared on social media how her mother-in-law is trying to get her son’s name changed because it is upsetting her teenage daughter, the woman’s sister-in-law.

The woman, who is eight months pregnant, has taken to social media to express her frustration at the situation. Many people believe that she should do the right thing and choose a different name. The woman said, “At dinner we announced that we would be having a boy and would name him Shawn. My in-laws were quiet for a moment, before my mother-in-law asked if there were any other options we would consider.”

Her mother-in-law told how Shawn was the name of her daughter’s old bully. She says that he harassed her a lot in school and online from 2020 to 2021 and that was the reason why she finally changed schools. My mother-in-law messaged my husband and I again asking us to find a new name for Ashley. “We were able to agree on this just a few weeks ago.”

Commenting on her post, one Reddit user said, “Normally I’d be on your side, but you commented that the bullying was ‘so bad he tried to take his life.’ I mean, you have the right to name your baby whatever you want, but why would you want to do that to a family member?”
