MP Govt Plan To Provide 90 Percent Grant On The Purchase Of Cow And Buffalos


Buffalo Farming: Animal husbandry is becoming a good source of income for the rural population of the country. Dairy farms and animal husbandry units are being opened in every village. The people of the village are getting good income by selling milk, the cow dung mixed with animals is increasing crop production. Amidst the increasing demand of milk in the country and the world, the government is also motivating the rural population to join the animal husbandry business. In this episode, schemes like National Livestock Mission, National Gokul Mission, Pashu Kisan Credit Card and Pashudhan Bima Yojana are being run, under which provision of financial help is made for animal husbandry business.

State governments also bring many schemes at their own level. Recently, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan also gave information about a similar animal husbandry scheme, under which the benefit of 90 percent grant will be given for animal husbandry related to cow-buffalo.

90% subsidy for animal husbandry
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh said that Baiga, Bharia and Sahariya are planning another scheme for the families, under which the sisters of these communities will get two milch cattle cow or buffalo. The Madhya Pradesh government will spend 90 percent of the money on the purchase of these animals for animal husbandry purposes, while these beneficiaries will have to pay only 10 percent from their own pocket.

If there is milch cattle in the house, then you can increase your family’s income by selling its milk. All the brothers and sisters of Madhya Pradesh, especially the people of Baiga, Bharia and Saharia communities, who want to join animal husbandry activities, will soon be given the benefit of this scheme.

Sometime back, MP State Cooperative Dairy Federation has signed MoU with State Bank of India to increase milk production in Madhya Pradesh. The benefit of this agreement will be given to every animal herder, farmer or people willing to join animal husbandry in the state.

On applying in this scheme, the beneficiary will be given loan facility at 3 to 4 bank branches in every district to buy 2, 4, 6 and 8 milch animals. It also includes non-collateral dead loan up to Rs 10 lakh and Mudra loan up to Rs 60,000. For this loan, the beneficiary will have to submit 10 percent margin money and will also be given the facility to repay the loan amount in 36 installments.
