MS Dhoni CSK Uncapped Player IPL 2025: The biggest question currently facing the management of Chennai Super Kings is whether MS Dhoni will play in IPL 2025 or not. Many different claims have come forward, CSK CEO Kashi Vishwanathan has also given many statements, but till now the situation regarding Dhoni has not been clarified. Now a new report has claimed that the decision on Dhoni can be taken on October 30.
BCCI has given time till 5 pm on October 31 to all the teams to submit their retention lists. Now according to the new update, a decision on Dhoni’s future will be taken just one day before the deadline date. Earlier it was told that Dhoni can announce his decision on October 28 after meeting with the CEO of CSK, but the suspense is increasing on playing in the next season. Let us tell you that the big question regarding Dhoni is whether he will be considered an uncapped player in playing situation or not.
Even before the start of IPL 2024, MS Dhoni had handed over the captaincy of Chennai Super Kings to Rituraj Gaikwad. Gaikwad proved to be a great captain, yet Dhoni remains one of the most important players for CSK. Last season, he scored 161 runs in 14 matches playing at a strike rate of more than 220.
As far as the players retained by Chennai are concerned, if Dhoni does not play the next season then probably Rituraj Gaikwad will be the first choice of the team. Apart from this, CSK can also bet on Ravindra Jadeja and Mathisha Pathirana. In case of Dhoni not playing, it will also be interesting to see which uncapped player CSK adds. In this list, a competition can be seen between youth like Simarjeet Singh and Sameer Rizvi.
