Mumbai Police Books Sanjay Raut Close Aide For Fraud


Mumbai: Mumbai Police has registered an FIR against the company of Sujit Patkar, a senior leader of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) and close to Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut, in the Covid Center scam case. A case of cheating and forgery was registered against Sujit Patkar at Marine Drive police station on Friday under various sections of the IPC. Let us tell you that last year an FIR was registered in this matter at Azad Maidan and then it was transferred to EOW for further investigation.

Mumbai Police said that Sujit Patkar’s Healthcare Management Service Limited Company and its partners have been booked under sections 465, 468, 471 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

According to the police, Sujit Patkar’s Healthcare Management Services LLP and its partners, Sandeep Harishankar and Gupta Yogesh Bhumeswara Rao, defrauded the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India, by submitting forged documents and using the forged documents as genuine. A case has been registered for giving.

There were allegations of irregularities

According to the allegations, Patkar had also received contracts to set up Covid centers at various places in Mumbai and Thane. BJP leader Kirit Somaiya had alleged irregularities in these contracts. Somaiya lodged a complaint against Patkar and his company at the Shivaji Nagar police station in Pune.

Significantly, in the redevelopment case of Mumbai’s Patra Chawl, Raut is already being investigated since 2022. In this case, he was arrested in 2022 and was later released on bail. In such a situation, after registering a case against Sujit Patkar, who is considered very close to him, his difficulties may increase.
