Mehndi Hasan (23), a resident of Bilalpat village, who had gone to dump sugarcane in a tractor-trolley at Asmoli Sugar Mill in Sambhal at around 2 o’clock on Saturday night, was shot dead. Found lying in a field near the sugar mill on Sunday evening at 5.30 pm. While the tractor-tripler was missing.

SP Kuldeep Singh Gunawat, ASP Shreeshchandra and CO Asmoli Santosh Kumar investigated the incident site. Mehndi Hasan, a resident of Bilalpat village in the police station area, had gone to Asmoli Sugar Mill at around 2 o’clock on Saturday night to weigh sugarcane with a tractor-tripler.

But when he did not reach home till 4 pm on Sunday evening, his family got worried. Father Shamim told that when he searched for his son, he got information about the dead body being found in a hut built in the field of Satveer, a resident of Khanpur Bandh village near the sugar mill.

The son was shot twice. Told that his family has no enmity with anyone, but who has murdered his son? No information about this. Told that the deceased was the third among five sons and one daughter. The deceased’s elder brother Jamil has filed a complaint against unknown persons for action.

Police is searching where did the tractor-tripler go?

The tractor-tripler in which the young man took the sugarcane to the sugar mill. The police did not find that tractor-tripler till late night. Police is searching. The victim’s family members say that there is a possibility of the tractor-tripler loaded with sugarcane being looted.
