In Kasganj, seven days ago, a young man, who had reached his girlfriend’s house early in the morning due to a love affair in Qila Mohalla area of the city, was not only beaten up by the girlfriend’s brothers but also poured petrol and set her on fire. Due to which the young lover Vishal got seriously burnt. This incident happened in the early hours of March 8. After the incident, the police registered an FIR from both the parties against each other.
Youth Vishal was undergoing treatment in critical condition at Aligarh Medical College. Where the young man died during treatment on Thursday. When the dead body of the young man was brought here after noon, anger spread among the family members, relatives and nearby people and people started creating ruckus on the road near Ashoknagar intersection on the four-lane road. During this period there was also a scuffle with the police. The commotion continued for an hour. Due to which traffic on the four-lane road was affected. On information, Kotwali police and CO reached the spot.
Seeing the situation of anger, he immediately called PAC and additional police force on the spot. Police officers started talks with the family members of the youth, but during the talks several altercations broke out and the angry people started abusing. After reaching the spot, the police first removed the angry people from the road and started the movement of vehicles. The conversation with family members continued. The family members started raising their demand before the police for the arrest of the accused and inclusion of names of other people in the FIR. Seeing the uproar increasing, CO Ajit Chauhan assured the family members of action and asked for an investigation at the point of adding names in the complaint. After this the matter could be calmed down. The family members demanded the cancellation of the false FIR lodged by the girlfriend’s side. The youth’s father Mukesh says that an FIR was lodged against the youth to hide his crime.
Father had earlier nominated two, now got three more names added.
Young Vishal’s father Mukesh Kumar had earlier filed a case against the girl’s brothers Neeraj and Dheeraj for burning Vishal by pouring petrol on him. Apart from this, some unknown people were also shown, but now the father has demanded the police to register a case under the sections of murder, accusing the girl, her mother and another brother Surendra of being involved in the crime.
Earlier this FIR was lodged by the girl’s side.
Before the girl’s side, an FIR was lodged against Vishal by the girl herself. In which the girl said that on March 8, at around 2.30 am, when she had gone to the drain to use the toilet, the young man Vishal was already present and dragged her to a neighboring room. When the girl and her family protested against the young man, he himself sprinkled petrol on the bike and set it on fire. The police had registered this case against the youth.
Last rites performed amidst security
Kasganj. The last rites of the young man also took place amidst tight security. In view of the uproar, the police and administration remained fully prepared. The youth was cremated at the crematorium at Nagla Bhood.
