A mutilated body was found floating in Ganganahar in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh on Thursday morning. People passing by stopped when they saw it. They informed the police. When the news spread, a crowd of people gathered at the spot. Police reached the spot on information and collected evidence. Further action is being taken.
The incident took place near Majra Naya Nagla of Jabra Gram Panchayat of Mant police station area. Here the body of an unknown youth was found floating in the Ganga canal. Police reached the spot after receiving the information and collected information. The body was taken out of the canal and sent for post-mortem.
Trainee CO Achal Chauhan said that the body appears to be about four days old. It has reached here by floating in the canal. Efforts are being made to identify it. The body is in a mutilated condition. Information has been sent to nearby police stations and outposts.
