In Muzaffarpur, Bihar, the advocates of the district took out a protest march wearing red badges and expressed anger against the police administration. In fact, the eye of an advocate Pankaj Kumar, who was returning home, was injured during police investigation on the night of February 7 in Kazi Mohammadpur police station area of the district. Regarding this, the advocates staged a protest march from the District Court to the District Collectorate and demanded action against the guilty policemen.

Advocates said that the police has done the job of saving the rest by suspending only one policeman, which is a violation of the honor and dignity of the advocates of the district. He said that we will continue the protests until further action is taken. We will take this matter to the top, so that the honor and dignity of innocent lawyers can be protected.

According to the information, on February 7, advocate Pankaj Kumar was returning home with his entire family. During this, he was stopped for investigation near Power House Chowk of Kazi Mohammadpur police station area. Then he was misbehaved and meanwhile it is alleged that his eye was broken by hitting him with a stick. Since then, an FIR was lodged in the case of victim advocate Pankaj Kumar demanding action against all the policemen found guilty. After that, despite all the evidence, a policeman was suspended by the senior police officer. But regarding this matter, the Advocates Association had demanded action against the entire patrol team (which was present at the time of the incident).

District Bar Association President Ram Krishna Thakur, who was involved in the protest, said that despite the seriousness of the matter, suspending a policeman is an irresponsible act. In this serious case, an FIR should be registered and action should be taken against all the guilty policemen involved at the time of that incident, but this was not done. Due to this, all of us lawyers are angry. We demand that if action is not taken against the entire team, we will protest in a phased manner and our protest will intensify further.
